Free service is provided to new bikes purchased from Cykl in the last six months. This does not include the cost of parts or flat repair. (Be cool and don’t abuse this, friends!)
Bikes that are brought in muddy or exceptionally dirty may be subject to a $25 dirty bike surcharge (c’mon, man).
Any bike without a scheduled return date and time 14 days after the original service ticket will be subject to a $7/day storage fee.
Any bike without a scheduled return date and time 30 days after the original service ticket will be sold to recover labor and part costs (or found a good home with our non-profit partners—good karma with accrue to Cykl).
All parts that are replaced or otherwise removed during service will be disposed of by the shop, unless otherwise instructed by the customer during the initial drop-off and ticketing. (Who are we to judge if you have a bent derailleur collection?)
We do not work on gasoline powered bicycles.
We do not work on bicycles which we deem unsafe to ride – examples include - Bent/damaged frame, fork, handlebars or other major component, regardless of material. Tires which are unsafe to ride (unless we’re replacing them, Nonfunctional brakes (unless we’re making at least one brake functional) - fixed gear bicycles excluded from this limitation.
If your bicycle does not have machined rim brake tracks, we cannot guarantee squeak free brakes. Brake squeak does not indicate an unsafe condition.
Cykl does not offer returns on Labor / Services (if there’s an issue, please talk to us!)
